Meet Haley Salava, FNP-C: Personalized Wellness and Preventive Care Specialist at Better Life Carolinas

Haley Salava, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping patients achieve better long-term health through personalized, evidence-based care. With a diverse clinical background spanning pediatric emergency medicine and adult healthcare, she brings a comprehensive perspective to patient care, combining strong clinical experience with a passion for preventive medicine and health optimization.

At Better Life Carolinas, Haley works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment strategies that address the underlying factors influencing health rather than simply managing symptoms. Her clinical interests include hormone optimization, functional medicine, metabolic health, and preventive wellness, with a focus on helping patients improve energy, resilience, and overall quality of life through data-driven, patient-centered care.

Haley believes meaningful healthcare begins with understanding each patient’s unique physiology, lifestyle, and long-term goals. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and takes the time to educate and guide them through every stage of their care, empowering them to make informed decisions that support lifelong health.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Carson-Newman University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Haley is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) and has also earned certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), reflecting her broad clinical foundation and commitment to professional excellence.

Outside of the clinic, Haley enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, spending time in the North Carolina mountains with her fiancé, experimenting with new recipes, and caring for their three dogs and two cats.
