Hair Loss

Testosterone has a role in many body functions, including the production of hair follicles. Many men lose hair and begin balding as they age; however, men with low testosterone can also suffer from loss of body hair. While there is an inherited component to balding, you should be wary of hair loss, especially if hair loss is not common in your bloodline.

Benefits Of Using TRT Pineville, NC

Increased Body Fat

Let's be honest here: a man's sex life can be thrown into ruin when they get fat. This is especially true when a man has low T and develops symptoms like gynecomastia or large breasts. Of course, getting fatter means you're looking at a litany of new health problems like high cholesterol and diabetes. It seems like middle-aged men just accept the fact that they're going to get fat. But, it doesn't have to be that way. Men who find themselves developing more fat around their stomachs can correct their testosterone imbalance with TRT from Better Life.

Brain Fog

Many men experience changes in concentration, focus, and productivity as they age. Though it's not a serious medical condition, brain fog is usually a symptom of other medical problems, like low testosterone. Men with brain fog experience a lack of mental clarity, problems with memory, lack of focus, and poor concentration. This problem interferes with everyday tasks at work and home, but with hormone therapy, it doesn't have to be an ongoing problem in your life.

Some of the most common benefits that our patients cite include:

Benefits Of Using TRT Pineville, NC

Healthier Heart

A healthy heart pumps blood throughout your body, giving organs and muscles the oxygen they need to perform. Testosterone helps red blood cell production through the bone marrow. When you have low T levels, your muscles and organs will often suffer. Low T levels have been attributed to a number of cardiovascular problems, which is cause for concern.

However, a study of 83,000 men found that males whose testosterone levels returned to normal were 36% less likely to experience a stroke 24% less likely to experience a heart attack. This promising sign shows that TRT can actually help keep your heart and blood healthy.

Stronger Bones

Testosterone plays a crucial role in bone density. Bone mineral density decreases as men get older and T levels drop. This drop in testosterone raises the risk of developing osteoporosis. Strong bones help support your organs and muscles, boosting quality of life and even athletic performance. Research shows that bone density increases with higher doses of TRT. Some clinical trials recently found that testosterone also increases hip and spinal bone density.

Increased Libido

One of the most popular reasons why men choose TRT from Better Life Age Management Wellness Center is to enjoy increased libido. Testosterone levels rise in response to sexual activity and arousal. It's well known that men with higher levels of testosterone have more sexual activity. However, older men need more testosterone for healthy erectile function and libido. TRT is often a viable solution for older men who are looking to reignite that special spark with their spouse.

Additional benefits of using TRT can include:

  • Less Body Fat
  • Better Sleep
  • More Confidence
  • Better Mood
  • More Muscle Mass
  • Improved Brain Function
  • Better Stress Management
  • Lower LDL Levels
  • Improved Blood Sugar Regulation

PINEVILLE, N.C. — Restaurants continue to struggle. Many are understaffed and the employees they do have may feel overworked. But a new restaurant in Pineville is filling staffing holes with robotic waiters.

Shortages are facing almost every industry, especially the food industry. At Yiding Hot Pot, they've come up with a different kind of solution to hiring: replacing waiters with robots.

Robots named Wall-e and Eve after the popular movie WALL-E can deliver food to your table. They use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to learn the routes of the restaurant.

So, it poses the question, are robot waiters the future? It's a growing trend the restaurant industry is trying to answer.

Alice Wang, the owner of Yiding Hot Pot, believes it provides a better experience for customers and staff, saying the robot helps eliminate labor for the worker, who then can better serve the customer.

She also said there's a long way to go before robots replace humans.

Wang said the robots cost about $10,000 but it's worth every penny because they don't collect a salary. As for tipping, there are still other staff members helping serve your meal that you can tip.

You can now travel from the North Carolina-South Carolina state line toward Uptown using the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.

Driving the news: A new stretch of the greenway spanning nearly three miles from Pineville to the South Carolina state line is officially open.

Why it matters: The project gives residents lots of space to explore the outdoors. It also provides an alternate means of travel for cyclists and runners looking to avoid congested streets.

Details: The new section runs from the President James K. Polk State Historic Site (12031 Lancaster Hwy in Pineville) to Gilroy Drive in Lancaster County, S.C.

Public access points with parking include the Polk site and Pineville Lake Park/Belle Johnston Center 330 Lake Dr. and 12021 Lancaster Hwy. There are a few parking spots at the Gilroy Drive trailhead in South Carolina.

Of note: You can park just north of the new segment at 9800 Leitner Dr. in Pineville.

Bonus: The new section is far from entirely flat. If you’re looking for a decent incline, you’ll find a few spots as you get closer to South Carolina.

What’s next: Expect to see more greenways throughout the region.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The name Dean Smith, the man hired to coach Charlotte FC, is synonymous with success in the state of North Carolina. The legendary head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels won a pair of NCAA championships in his illustrious career.

Now, Smith is charged with the task of taking Charlotte FC to the next level.

What You Need To Know

Charlotte FC hired Smith on Tuesday, and before stepping foot on the sidelines in Charlotte, Smith will already have a nice size fan club waiting for him.

Michael Smoak is the Chairperson of the Aston Villa FC Supporters group in Charlotte. They gather at his Middle James Brewing Taproom in Pineville for all games, opening early to accommodate the start times when matches kickoff in England. Smoak is keenly aware of the new Charlotte FC head coach, as he led Smoak's beloved AVFC back to relevance in the Premier League.

"The players love him as a manager," Smoak said Wednesday. "We’re talking about a big time Premier League coach. He brought Aston Villa out of the championship, went on a 10 game win streak, kept them in the Premier League. This is a big hire for Charlotte FC. [Team owner David] Tepper did his research, and found the right man."

The 10-game win streak Smoak references is the AVFC club record for consecutive wins. He is highly regarded in coaching circles, and will try to do for Charlotte FC what he has done with Aston Villa.

Charlotte FC will enter the 2024 season with their third head coach in their third season of existence. Miguel Angel Ramirez was hired for the first season, but fired in the early stages of the 2022 campaign, and replaced by Christian Lattanzio on an interim basis.

Charlotte made Lattanzio the full-time head coach to begin 2023, but he was released by the team in spite of Charlotte reaching the play-in round of the Major League Soccer playoffs for the first time.

As for Smoak, and his AVFC supporters, having Smith at the helm of the club is a positive sign, not just for his knowledge of soccer, but for his personality.

Smoak says Smith is one of the nicest people he's ever met, and even recalled a chance encounter in an airport.

"We were in the Philadelphia airport, he walked into the same area we were in," Smoak said with a grin. "I talked to him for a little while, nicest guy you've ever met. Talked to my kids a lot, my son was ecstatic."

Charlotte FC fans are hoping they can enjoy those same feelings with their own Dean Smith as head coach.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) -To celebrate Carowinds 50th anniversary, the amusement park will be setting off fireworks for 50 nights in a row. It’s part of the park’s ‘50 Nights of Fire.’

People living nearby the park, like Bailey Dunmire expressed their concerns about the nightly firework show will impact pets, children, and possibly people with PTSD.

Dunmire lives roughly 3.4 miles away from the park and says the fireworks each night disturbs her neighborhood.

”It kinda just resembles like a war zone almost on some level. And it’s just, just earth-shattering, and it happens right when I fall asleep usually. It actually bothers me, I mean it actually shakes our house,” shared Dunmire.

Carowinds officials said the show will start around 10 p.m. and last for seven minutes each night.

Carowinds released this statement to WBTV, regarding concerns they have received from residents living near the park:

“We understand and appreciate the concerns expressed by some guests regarding the potential impact of the ‘50 Nights of Fire’ event on families, pets, and veterans. Carowinds places great emphasis on providing comprehensive information and updates about the event across all Carowinds-owned social media platforms, Carowinds.com, the Carowinds App, and during check-in at Carowinds Camp Wilderness Resort to ensure widespread awareness. The show commences at park closure at 10:00 p.m. ET and lasts for approximately 7 minutes and 2 seconds, featuring a display of pyrotechnics that includes the coordination of 180 drones.

We are fully committed to addressing these concerns and fostering an environment where all attendees can feel comfortable, and safe

Carowinds has obtained the necessary permits for the ‘50 Nights of Fire’ event, and these permits encompass the concerns expressed by the community. Carowinds considers noise management, and the shells used in the display are specifically chosen to create a captivating visual experience without the excessive noise typically associated with larger fireworks shows, such as those on July 4th.”

Dunmire expressed how she feels this is not a solution for her, and her neighbors.

“Our dog, she is about 15. She has a little dementia and she kinda just gets in that state of just she doesn’t really know where she’s at. Of course, we forgot to give her medicine that night to calm her and she kept my daughter up all night. So I guess I’m gonna live with drugged dogs for 50 days. They’re just gonna disrupt everybody’s sleep and get the animals and the babies and the veterans all worked up? They didn’t really seem to care,” said Dunmire.

The 50 Nights of Fire started June 17.

Park officials told WBTV that if the firework show does not start by 10:30 p.m. each night, they will not go off due to noise ordinance regulations.

Thermoplastic piping supplier IPEX reports that it is making a major investment in a new injection molding plant in Pineville, NC. Equipped with state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 and artificial intelligence technology, the facility will significantly increase IPEX’s ability to manufacture fittings for plumbing, electrical, industrial, and municipal applications, said the company.

The nearly 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility will be the technological flagship for the company’s operations and one of the most advanced plastics manufacturing facilities in the industry, according to IPEX. The plant’s flexible automation capabilities will enable total automation for all facets of sorting, labelling, counting, packing, and assembly.

Automation will eliminate the majority of manual, repetitive processes and tasks, and the production floor will be forklift-free, replaced by AI-powered auto-guided vehicles, thus increasing plant safety. Indeed, industry-leading health and safety best practices will be implemented at the facility on day one, said IPEX.

With sustainability in mind, the plant will be fully climate-controlled and use energy-efficient lighting and high-efficiency machines to reduce the use of both electricity and water.

Ample space for testing and prototyping a number of new products already in development has been set aside in the building design.

IPEX anticipates hiring more than 150 people in the area, with key opportunities for supervisory, technical, and quality control personnel to support Industry 4.0 systems.

The new plant is described as an integral part of IPEX’s continued growth plans in North America by CEO Alex Mestres. “This level of investment in new technologies, cloud connectivity, and flexible automation will make this plant a learning showcase for the rest of our operations and will allow us to better serve our customers with added flexibility, response time, and innovative products,” said Mestres in a prepared statement.

Construction is expected to be finalized in late 2022, with full operations planned to start in early 2023. Once the project is completed, the Pineville site, which includes an existing molding facility, will be home to nearly 100 injection molding machines, IPEX’s biggest molding complex.

The Pineville manufacturing plant is the company’s fourth new facility announcement in 2021, following three new distribution centers in Garland, TX; Winnipeg, MB; and Dartmouth, NS.
